Dear Friends,
  Let's hear it for the moms.
  Sunday is Mother's Day, and tomorrow is my mother's 93rd birthday.
   At our Shabbat Evening Service (7:30 PM), we'll give our mothers the gift of verse, as it is our annual Poetry Shabbat, when our poetry enthusiasts will share some of their favorite selections.

    We'll offer some final reflections on our year-long study of Israel at our Shabbat Morning Torah Study (10:00 AM).
     Next week is a special presentation (open to all, with bagels): "Around the Jewish World", featuring my visits to far-flung Jewish communities. 

   School is in session on Sunday, including Confirmation class.

    Our Adas Emuno Book Club meets via zoom on Monday (7:30 PM) , discussing Rich Boy, a vivid coming-of-age novel set in 1970s-1990's Philadelphia and New York, and reflective of many of our family histories- not quite rags-to-riches, but almost.
