This Week at Adas Emuno—Celebrating Israel’s Birthday

Dear Friends,
  How can you celebrate Israel's 78th birthday...especially given how embattled Israel is lately, to put it mildly?
   One way is to attend our Shabbat- Yom Ha'Atzmaut Service (7:30 PM), which will feature uplifting music and words from and about Israel.

   Rabbi Max will lead our Shabbat Morning Torah Study (10:00 AM), on the double Torah portion at the heart of Leviticus.

   From time to time I'm invited to be a scholar-in-residence at other synagogues, and this is what I'll be doing on Sunday: The Blessing of Doubt: A Jewish Argument for Agnosticism with Rabbi Barry L. Schwartz | Temple Micah - Reform Temple in Washington DC.
