Dear Friends,
  The week before last, while in Copenhagen, I had the opportunity to meet with the chief rabbi of Denmark.
  It was a fascinating conversation about his family and community, including details about the rescue of the Jews of Denmark during the Holocaust which I did not know
  I'll share this conversation at Shabbat Evening Service (7:30 PM).

   Thanks again to everyone who made our Gathering in the Garden such a big success- it was so good to see so many people in person!

     For some late summer reading, try our Adas Emuno Book Club pick, Nemesis, by Phillip Roth. Set in Newark in the late '40s during an outbreak of polio, it is eerily relevant to our pandemic present. The Book Club meets to discuss it on Sept. 12.
